What was the highlight of Hotel Porto Mar Matosinhos
For the price it is a decent Hotel
For us the location worked very well. Close to a range of beaches and a amazing swimming pool. It is not the most modern when it comes to the rooms. There are amazing fish restaurants close by and it takes 30min to the Porto centre on the 500 bus or 45 min by Metro.
The rooms are a bit dated and could be improved with little elements such as better socket placement, a working plug for the bath tub to name 2 examples. The Metro is a bit loud and goes until 1am +

Very Good
I didn't realise that the restaurant was just for breakfast, but the receptionist kindly let us bring in pizzas so we had our dinner there too.
The metro is right outside the window and a bit noisy, but you get used to it. It didn't spoil the stay. No parking on site because it's on the railway line but parking very close available nearby.
